JOB SUMMARY

The Application Developer position will be part of the Customer Engagement Portfolio responsible for providing support to Call Center Technology solutions for all business units. Position responsibilities include all aspects of production support, application development, configuration, solution delivery, and problem resolution with telephony technologies and desktop applications. The position will work with call center teams across operating companies and will require excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, and organizational skills. The Application Developer must have strong analysis skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions to business problems.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or related degree

Experience:

  • Strong proficiency with Avaya telephony solutions including ACD, CMS, CTI, CMS, AES, and other solutions.

  • Extensive experience developing applications with VB, C , Java or other platforms.

  • Strong experience with implementing, integrating and supporting technology solutions.

  • Ability to build relationships and work with all levels of management, vendors, and other internal and external groups.

Knowledge/Skills/Attributes:

  • Knowledge and understanding of software development technologies, methodology and associated tools

  • Advanced knowledge of C , VB Script, and Java

  • Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and DB2 database platforms.

  • Excellent root cause analysis & problem-solving skills

  • Strong project management skills including the ability to effectively organizes tasks, manages multiple priorities/details, and meets tight deadlines

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Effective consulting skills with proven ability to influence others

  • Builds productive relationships with a focus on cooperation & teamwork

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, implement, integrate, and/or support technology solutions in a manner that meets or exceeds customer expectations for quality, cost, and timeliness

  • Communicate effectively and timely with customers, team members, and management

  • Provide timely, consistent, effective production application support

  • Build effective relationships with peers, management, and customers

  • Ensure required documentation for projects is developed

  • Adhere to Change Management policies and procedures

  • Respond/Resolve quickly & effectively to all operational problems
