Job Summary

The Brand and Creative Strategy Copywriter will work primarily to humanize the Georgia Power brand through skillful storytelling that positions us as a valuable go-to pro in the minds of our customers.

The experienced and strategic storyteller occupying this role writes brilliant copy for 360 campaigns to include: email, social media, radio, television, print advertising, digital display advertising, traditional OOH advertising, newsletter articles and blogs while ensuring the brand’s voice is consistent across all channels.

The Brand and Creative Strategy Copywriter will also work collaboratively to analyze the performance of the creative content developed as well as optimize content to better engage audiences. Must be able to present a strong copywriting portfolio that demonstrates creative and strategic digital and traditional advertising solutions developed for brands

Job Qualifications

  • Strong conceptual writing skills as well as solid knowledge of the digital landscape and integrated campaign development

  • Ability to translate strategic insights, creative briefs, and consumer insights into creative, relevant, engaging and results-driven content

  • Develop, write, and edit digital marketing and traditional advertising content that inspires and engages targeted audiences

  • Collaborate on the development of our content strategy based on business objectives and audience needs

  • Ability to develop a clear strategy for inspiring and engaging audiences through copy

  • Ability to tell brand stories in a way that resonates, builds trust, and evokes action within a community

  • Create and maintain digital editorial calendars

  • Assist with developing, maintaining and overseeing brand voice standards and guidelines

  • Conducting content audits, analyzing content performance, and conducting gap analysis to identify opportunities for better UX or personalization

Skills/Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, English, Journalism, or related field

  • 5 years’ experience copywriting for an in-house/corporate creative team, advertising agency, or PR firm

  • Highly collaborative working style a keen understanding of how to partner cross functionally

  • Creative storyteller with an ability to develop copy that uniquely and creatively highlights the benefits of the programs and services provided to customers

  • Detail-oriented with solid copywriting, editing and proofreading skills

  • Forward thinking with grasp of current and future advertising and copywriting trends

  • Firm understanding of user experience, SEO, and SEM.

  • Strategic planning and project management experience

  • Knowledge and use of content and project management tools

  • Expert-level knowledge of AP style
