The Inside Sales Coordinator performs inside sales duties to support the growth & retention of Atlanta Gas Light (AGL) and Chattanooga Gas Company (CGC). Must be a team player with a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.

This position follows a hybrid work schedule. Employees are required to be in the office three (3) days per week.


  • Responsible for managing customer touchpoints as part of growth & retention programs, including serving as point of contact, managing agreements and terms & conditions, maintaining electronic databases, and handling customer questions and concerns.

  • Track and report on growth & retention programs including response rates, conversion rates, etc.

  • Prepare a variety of recurring reports and presentations to support the growth & retention team to include program reporting, scorecards, etc.

  • Ensure internal processes deliver on exceeding customer expectations.

  • Responsible for in-house rebate and payment processing, including but not limited to, tracking all submitted rebates, verifying their status and eligibility, corresponding with customers and contractors, processing payments, and serving as point of contact for answering customer and dealer questions relating to the programs.

  • Educate current and prospective customers on the benefits of natural gas, natural gas appliances, cost savings of converting to natural gas, and answering any questions the customer may have relating to growth & retention programs or questions on the process of converting to natural gas.

  • Build and maintain relationships while driving customers towards the implementation of Energy Efficiency improvements and Energy Efficient technologies.

  • Perform data quality verification checks on new and existing projects, customer data records, etc.

  • Provide support and help manage programs focused on converting new customers and existing customers to natural gas to include advertising, market research, field initiatives, etc.

  • Process and track invoices to ensure payment; track invoices paid for budget reconciliation and reporting.

  • Support management in identifying new customers, markets, and applications for natural gas and assess the business impact of those implications.

  • Provide research assistance for business development efforts as well as ad-hoc research requests.

  • Support regulatory filings, data requests, and ad-hoc questions and requests.

  • Conduct inside sales calls to prospective natural gas customers.

  • Drive continuous improvement and best practices in quality processes.

  • Manage employee and customer referral programs designed to encourage lead generation and topline growth.

  • Be proficient in several company systems to include GSCA, GCMA, CC&B, WMIS, and ARM.

  • Maintain data and several databases to support the growth & retention department.

  • Responsible for special projects, as requested.

  • Maintains working knowledge of all company products and services, as well as operating policies and procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned in support of company growth & retention.



  • BA/BS degree with 2-3 years applicable experience.


  • Equivalent combination of academic education and experience.


  • Natural Gas industry experience with 2-3 years sales, construction, or GIS experience.



  • Advanced Microsoft office skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).

  • Must be able to independently set priorities of tasks amongst multiple assigned projects.

  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to work with all levels within the organization.

  • Ability to effectively sell, listen, and communicate with customers.

  • Superior organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
