Energy Efficiency Analyst - Budgets
This role will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate preparation and reporting of DSM (Demand Side Management) pilot budgets and certified program rollup in compliance with the Company's Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) DSM agreement with the Georgia Public Service Commission (GPSC) supporting Energy Efficiency (EE) regulatory strategy and implementation as well as the Demand Side Working Group (DSMWG). Day-to-day transaction reconciliation of EE pilot programs and monthly certified program budget maintenance to prepare financial statements that inform on spend performance toward regulatory and innovative targets. Responsible for producing analysis calculating additional sum earnings from successful implementation of the Company’s Energy Efficiency programs. Also, working with the EE Design, Evaluation, Reporting & Compliance team for alignment and timely fulfillment of filing related financial quarterly status reports with the GPSC; contributing to the development of internal reporting deliverables for management summaries and operational reports, as well as financial analysis related to future EE regulatory innovation strategy and optimization opportunities.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze, manage and reconcile EE pilot program & certified program budgets to support regulatory filings at the Public Service Commission for DSM programs.
Support the completion of the Evaluation, Measurement, and Verification (EM&V) process to ensure regulatory requirements are met and high net income targets are set.
Provide regulated budget support for EE and Product Marketing departmental leadership.
Provide frequent analysis and feedback on DSM program (certified and pilot) performance including strategies for program modifications to optimize performance toward regulatory energy savings targets as needed.
Provide technical data and analysis for energy efficiency related special projects.
Support pilot managers with program related requirements such as: monitoring mailboxes, program application management, customer feedback, customer opt-out, mailings, etc.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Statistics, or related field preferred.
Master’s Degree, Ph.D., or progress toward Masters/Ph.D. in an analytical field is a plus.
Travel in-state and nationally required up to 25% of the time.
Experience in Regulatory, Pricing & Planning, Marketing, Sales, Accounting/Finance and/or Program/Product/Project P&L preferred
Experience working with the Company's Enterprise Solutions software applications pertaining to budget and expense management
Must have strong problem solving/analytical skills
Experience researching and evaluating large amounts of data and evaluating products and services desired
Experience working on time-sensitive and concurrent projects with competing deadlines
General understanding of the Company's Financial Planning, Regulatory Accounting and Supply Chain desired
Proficient knowledge in Excel to work with statistical, financial, and collaborative functions
Power BI and SAS ability is a plus
Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills and the ability to convey information in a manner that is understandable at all levels, and is compelling and convincing; ability to interface with all levels of leadership
