Energy Efficiency Analyst - Pilot Programs

This role will be responsible for supporting Energy Efficiency (EE) pilot programs by performing analysis on piloted applications leveraging emerging technologies that help shape future demand-side management programs for the company. This role will be accountable for monitoring and validation of evaluation models, impact projections, performance tracking, and analytical activities to measure and report accurate day-to-day and monthly economic results of EE pilots to inform the Demand Side Working Group (DSMWG) and Georgia Public Service Commission (GPSC) Staff as needed. Additionally, working with the EE Design, Evaluation, Reporting & Compliance team for alignment and timely fulfillment of filing pilot-related quarterly status reports with the GPSC; contributing to the development of internal reporting deliverables for management summaries and operational reports, as well as analysis related to future EE regulatory innovation strategy and optimization opportunities.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide frequent analysis and feedback on DSM program (pilot & proposed business cases) performance including strategies for program modifications to optimize performance toward regulatory energy savings targets as needed.

  • Coordinate/create, enhance, and demonstrate deployable predictive modeling to convey data driven insights into EE pilot programs.

  • Support pilot managers with program related requirements such as: monitoring mailboxes, program application management, customer feedback, customer opt-out, mailings, etc.

  • Support regulatory filings at the Public Service Commission for piloted DSM programs.

  • Responsible for monitoring analytics to gauge economically viable energy efficiency and demand response pilot programs to potentially become certified programs in future Integrated Resources Planning (IRP) and DSM Certification dockets.

  • Support the completion of Evaluation, Measurement, and Verification (EM&V) process to ensure regulatory requirements are met and high net income targets are set.

  • Manage and improve existing data sets and analytical outputs to produce quality products.

  • Provide regulated analytical support for EE and Product Marketing departmental leadership.

  • Provide technical data and analysis for energy efficiency related special projects.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, MIS, Computer Science, or related analytical field preferred.

  • Master’s Degree, Ph.D., or progress toward Masters/Ph.D. in an analytical field is a plus.

  • Travel in-state and nationally required up to 25% of the time.

  • Experience in Regulatory, Pricing & Planning, Marketing, Sales, Accounting/Finance and/or Program/Product/Project analytics preferred

  • Must have strong problem solving/analytical skills.

  • Experience researching and evaluating large amounts of internal and external data to evaluate propensity and performance desired.

  • Experience working on time-sensitive and concurrent projects with competing deadlines.

  • General understanding of the Company's contractor Request for Proposal process, Technology Organization vendor integration and Supply Chain contract development desired.

  • Proficient knowledge in Excel to work with statistical, financial, and collaborative functions.

  • Power BI and SAS ability is a plus.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills and the ability to convey information in a manner that is understandable at all levels, and is compelling and convincing.

  • Ability to interface with all levels of leadership.
