Engineer - Systems Planning
This position evaluates the performance of gas distribution and transmission systems using hydraulic modeling software. The engineer identifies and analyzes scenarios for project alternatives and recommends the most effective solution for pressure improvements, new business, main replacements, and public improvement projects to ensure cost effective and reliable service to our customers. The engineer has regular responsibility for providing system planning analysis and support to operations, engineering design, and sales as well as periodic on call emergency support. This position also helps directs the work of two junior system planning engineers.
Engineer (Level 5)
Required: BS in recognized engineering discipline from an ABET accredited institution
Preferred: Engineer -in-Training (EIT) Certification
Related Work Experience:
Required: 4 to 5 years of previous gas or engineering experience
Specific Skills & Knowledge:
Required: MS Office – intermediate proficiency
Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization
Preferred: CAD/GIS – basic proficiency
