Executive Secretary

Provide support for Vice President of Community & Economic Development. Requires extensive experience in administrative field supporting an office in a corporate environment. This position requires exceptional organizational and decision-making skills. They must be a self-starter and possess the ability and the desire to work through changing priorities with minimal supervision. This position works closely with other Executive Administrative Assistants internally at Georgia Power and Southern Company and in the external community with the local Chamber of Commerce and Department of Economic Development. This position views significant confidential information and must be able to maintain that confidentiality. Advanced working knowledge of computer applications such as Outlook, SharePoint, One Note, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

This position is asked to perform the role of executive assistant. Planning high level meetings and events with external partners. Analytical skills are needed for the review, tracking and processing of executive budget in conjunction with the budget analyst. This role requires acute attention to detail and follow-through. Assists with strategy and implementation while supporting executive on key programs and initiatives. Assess inquiries directed to executive and address Leadership Team’s questions, if needed, while executive is absent due to heavy travel obligations. Periodically attends and represents executive at meetings or on calls due to conflicts in executive’s schedule. This position is located at the Georgia Experience Center in downtown Atlanta.
