JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director of the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I), the DE&I (Diversity and Inclusion Consultant is responsible for providing logistical, administrative, coordinating, and general support to our educational & Employee Resource Group (ERG) programs. The position requires a passion and active interest in diversity, equity and inclusion, as well as strong research, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

The candidate will help facilitate, assess and grow current educational offerings and ERG programming and introduce innovative new approaches around DE&I. This position will work on a high-profile, customer facing and fast-paced team. The ideal candidate possesses ability to carry out daily work with a high degree of autonomy, customer service, communication, team-work and timeliness. They will also possess strong interpersonal skills, strong independent problem-solving ability, and technical abilities. The dynamic environment requires a creative problem solver w/ demonstrated ability to adapt to change and prioritize multiple, sometimes competing tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Draft and circulate weekly, monthly and/or quarterly DE&I internal communications as assigned

  • Create content and develop tools in support of DE&I educational and ERG program needs

  • Assist DE&I staff with designing, coordinating, and/or facilitating DE&I workshops, presentations, learning opportunities and other strategies that promote DE&I

  • Managing DE&I communications calendar and activities, executing ongoing DE&I updates, managing DE&I moments library and internal DE&I resources

  • Collaboratively developing DE&I content including job aids, educational materials, and formatting materials

  • Support program administrative needs including distribution lists, ERG rosters, ad-hoc reports, and ongoing program logistics (site access requests, grub-hub, room reservations, etc.)

  • Coordinate logistics (room reservations, room set-up, preparation of course materials) related to classroom-based or online DE&I learning courses

  • Manages aspects of DE&I educational programming to ensure participant registration, quality of content and delivery.

  • Draft and circulate feedback and other surveys, compiling and presenting results in a clear, accurate and usable manner

  • Maintains DE&I curriculum and ensures it is up-to-date with educational strategy and company-wide DE&I goals

  • Works collaboratively with Office of DE&I staff to identify improvements around all aspects of educational programming

  • Support staff in the planning and execution of the annual ERG leadership summit and related activities

  • Utilize multiple communication forums (email, company information bulletins, internal FUEL posts) to promote programs and services internally-

  • Benchmarks best and emerging practices in DE&I programs in other companies and organizations

  • Developing and gathering metrics for measuring program effectiveness

  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned

Skills

  • Proven record of administrating, designing curricula and delivering innovative DE&I educational programming

  • Demonstrated history of facilitating complex discussions around race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ability, and/or other DE&I topics with a wide variety of audience

  • Knowledge and experience around adult learning, conflict resolution, cultural humility, restorative justice, anti-racism and/or other DE&I practices

  • Ability to work collaboratively and proactively, while balancing a variety of priorities

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, make informed decisions, influence at all levels of the organization and deliver achievable and measurable results, in support of our DE&I objectives

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactical actions

  • Effective time-management and organizational skills

  • Strong business acumen, project management skills and strong relationship-building skills

  • Strong written/oral communication skills, including strong presentation and group facilitation skills

  • Self-directed, organized, and discreet with confidential and sensitive information

  • Experienced in the coordination and development of executive presentations

  • Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint (essential), Excel, SharePoint

  • Ability and willingness to learn and apply skills with new and emerging business technology tools

  • Effective in working in a matrixes environment

  • Strong relationship skills; able to develop “trusted advisor” status at all levels in the company

  • Ability to effectively and authentically engage with employees at all levels

QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Certifications/Licenses:

Required:

  • BA/BS degree (business related) in business, human resources management, organizational development, or related field

Related Work Experience:

Required:

  • Minimum three (3) years experience in DE&I; employee engagement; workplace culture; and/or organizational development experience

  • Process and/or program management experience

P referred:

  • Master’s Degree

  • 3-5 years of project management experience
