Workforce Analytics Manager
The HR Workforce Analytics Manager will lead a team to generate proactive insights into the workforce and enable our partners to make decisions with analytical solutions. The manager will lead the development of enterprise reporting, advance the use of workforce analytics, and develop predictive models, to deliver solutions that range from business unit managers to the enterprise workforce planning strategy. This role will be responsible for establishing strong relationships with HR, Technology, and business unit partners to understand and develop solutions for business unit initiatives. The manager must be a strong team player that values collaboration in order to achieve our strategic objectives.
Remote work may be considered for the successful candidate.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the development and execution of workforce analytics to provide solutions for business leaders to understand the dynamics of the workforce and to make informed decisions.
Establish strong relationships and collaborate with HR business partners to identify proactive workforce information needs and develop predictive models
Lead the team to develop solutions to provide information about the Southern Company workforce.
Manage the governance process to identify business requirements, prioritize requirements based on resources budget and timeline, and manage the end-to-end design and development of solutions
Utilize analytical expertise and experience with large data sets to inform and influence business decisions with workforce and business data
Communicate technical information and complex data to non- technical audiences in a logical, concise manner
Establish external relationships and participate in workforce analytic councils to share best practices and attain industry benchmarks.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills)
Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in data analytics, data science, HR metrics, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
Minimum 3 years of experience managing a team of analysts and/or developers to deliver business intelligence solutions
Understanding of methodologies in applied statistics and research, predictive HR analytics, and forecasting.
Experience with tools to query, analyze, manipulate, and visualize datasets (e.g. SQL, Python, R, SAS, SPSS, Tableau, PowerBI).
Experience with enterprise Human Capital Management systems and understanding of HR processes
Experience implementing enterprise business intelligence solutions, with excellent ability to understand and communicate a compelling story and present insights to business partners

Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities
Ability to think strategically and creatively
Ability to work in a team environment with diverse disciplines and backgrounds
