JOB SUMMARY:
The Electric Transportation Analyst is responsible for supporting Alabama Power Company’s (APC) efforts to drive the electrification of transportation (ET). ET is considered a significant growth opportunity for our company and has the potential to increase electricity demand and sales. This position will support the continued development, evolution, and execution of APC’s ET growth strategy.
This position will work closely with internal and external stakeholders on the advancement of electric transportation infrastructure investment and adoption of on/off road electric technologies by placing a strong emphasis on leveraging available funding through federal and state grants; understanding ET market opportunities; aiding sales; and advancing proactive policies. This position supports the development and execution of ET solutions for customers. The ET Analyst will support alignment, coordination, and collaboration on ET efforts across Alabama Power and the Southern Company system.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
·Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or other related areas
Relevant electric transportation or electric utility experience
Demonstrated experience producing deliverables in a fast-paced environment
Interface effectively and persuasively with internal and external stakeholders
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
Demonstrated ability to communicate efficiently and effectively
Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to prioritize work effectively, exercise sound judgment, be flexible, manage changing priorities and deadlines, and accurately complete multiple tasks
Proficient in leading internal & external meetings
Passion for continuous learning & development
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work independently, as well as collaboratively, on Electric Transportation projects & objectives
Support APC’s Electric Transportation (ET) efforts to achieve growth goals, support the Southern Company system, and drive investment in and adoption of the electrification of transportation
Support execution of the ET strategy with consideration for and inclusion of broader APC (such as Marketing and Economic Development, Customer Operations, Community Relations, Governmental Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Power Delivery, Fleet Operations, etc.) and external (such as local, state, national, market, and industry participants) partners and stakeholders
Actively participate in cross-functional and cross-system ET-focused efforts to identify and successfully execute future growth opportunities
Engage directly with customers on ET projects
Grow awareness and collaboration internally and externally with key partners and stakeholders to drive growth and sales opportunities for ET
