Supervisor, CS&M Shared Services Integration
DESCRIPTION
JOB SUMMARY
The Supervisor for CS&M Shared Services Integration position is responsible for managing business partner relationships and integration technologies in support of the many lines of business across all electric operating companies. This includes new technology solutions, application lifecycle management, strategic planning, business partner communications, and budgeting for technology support of these business partners. The Supervisor manages a team of developers in support of interfaces to our Customer Information System (CIS). The Supervisor provides work direction, training and development, feedback, and activity prioritization for the team. This includes ensuring that their team has the skills, knowledge, and tools necessary to provide comprehensive production support that meets business partner expectations, provide project support, and deliver technology consulting.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business or related area of concentration preferred
Applicable Experience
In-depth knowledge of development standards and integration best practices, data security/management, and enterprise architecture.
Hands on knowledge of Oracle SOA Suite, or other integration middleware such as Biztalk
Working knowledge of SQL, COBOL, JCL, Autosys, C#, .NET and/or Java.
Knowledge of web services including REST, SOAP, and micro-services.
Experience with CSS (or a comparable customer billing system such as CC&B), OCC, and/or VRU technologies.
Knowledge/Skills
Strong understanding of Customer Service and/or Revenue Accounting business processes and knowledgeable of technology solutions that could impact customers.
Cross-functional experience in the business or TO and a general knowledge of Customer Service and of the Southern Company core business.
Knowledge of or experience with Key Financial Application and SOX Processes.
Proven record of achieving measurable business results working with and through others.
Demonstrated leadership and management skills, including building a strong, results-oriented team, performance management, and budget management.
Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to oversee major projects, including managing multiple tasks/priorities, communication, teamwork, consulting, financial and budget analysis.
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Knowledge of software development technologies, tools, and computing infrastructure and how these can be used to deliver market competitive products and services within Southern Company.
Demonstrated talent in the area of proactive communications and the ability to make presentations to all levels (employees, management and executives).
Demonstrated understanding of technology and financials, with the ability to make sound business recommendations based on the available information.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership
Build and maintain a strong relationship with business partners.
Manages the overall work plan, work prioritization, and delivery on team commitments.
Oversees the development of and executes application lifecycle strategic plans for business partners, including new solutions development, assessment of options from vendors, etc., owning the results/solutions from end-to-end.
Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, audits, security, and change management procedures and controls.
Ensures disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place and tested within their areas of support.
Owns researching, evaluating, designing, developing, estimating, recommending, implementing, and/or supporting new technology solutions for business partners.
Responsible for ongoing assessment of legacy applications to ensure alignment with business objectives and evaluate opportunities for application retirement to streamline technology support requirements to optimize costs.
Develops and executes a communication plan for business partner application or business process impacts due to operational or project activity.
Provides project oversight and integration with existing business processes and systems on behalf of the customer.
Manages vendor relationships, establishes contracts, and identifies value adding partnerships to successfully meet the initiatives and goals of Customer Service business partner organizations for electric business units.
Establishes and maintains strong partnerships/working relationships with other areas of the Technology Organization as well as vendor management, external vendors, and suppliers.

Responsible for attracting, developing, retaining, and managing a diverse group of technical employees.
Responsible for hiring, performance management, and terminations of direct reports.
Responsible for providing work direction, feedback, and coaching to their direct reports.
Responsible for workforce planning for their team, and for appropriately identifying and developing successors for their and their direct reports’ positions.
Facilitates the development of employees from both a technical and Subject Matter Expertise viewpoint.
Mentors and coaches’ employees towards superior performance.
Other Requirements:
