Overview

We are seeking motivated and technically skilled individuals to fill several upcoming Solar Technician positions across Nevada and California. Successful candidates will work in a small team environment where responsibility and ownership are paramount.
Routine Job Functions:
Responsible for the maintenance and operation of utility-scale PV power plants. Duties include monitoring PV Solar Plant operation through SCADA, testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying AC and DC solar PV systems, including inverters, PV modules, combiner boxes, transformers, switchgear, and metering systems. Successful candidates will use IBM Maximo for documenting work, managing inventory, and tracking plant equipment issues. A successful candidate should expect to work some nights and weekends as required to meet the needs of the business.
** Skills/Competencies:**
Working knowledge of industrial or power plant facility operations and maintenance.
Demonstrate knowledge in electrical and mechanical safety.
Demonstrate the understanding of industrial safety practices such as LOTO, switching, maintenance processes, and basic industrial compliance obligations.
Proficiency in reading and understanding electrical schematics and prints.
Proficient with medium & high voltage equipment. (Preferred)
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
Self-directed and accountable
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Physical fitness for demanding tasks
** Responsibilities:**
Ensure a safe work environment. Communicate all safety concerns.
Comply with all safety and compliance procedures and policies.
Ensure work orders are managed properly and timely.
Ensure all documentation and required reports are reviewed, complete, submitted, and filed.
Communicate across the organization to achieve a resolution to plant and fleet issues.
Attend, participate in all assigned training.
Compensation
Total compensation includes base salary, potential for overtime, and the potential for an annual bonus. (NV and CA)

California-Based Candidates
For those based in California, the expected salary range is $79,000.00 to $95,000.00 annually, in accordance with state law.
Position Requirements
Qualifications
Must pass the EEI TECH test (details for the practice test provided below)
High School Diploma or equivalent
A 2-year College/Technical Degree or relevant work experience is required
Preference for candidates with an electrical background
Skills
Strong mechanical and electrical skills
Experience with Solar Utility Scale Inverter maintenance is preferred
Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and electronic devices
Independent working capability
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Physical fitness for demanding tasks
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with little to no direction as well as possess an ability to follow directions when required.
