Sales Project Manager - Power & Energy Services
*POSITION MAY BE LOCATED ANYWHERE IN THE STATE OF GEORGIA*
Responsible for identifying, developing, negotiating and selling energy conservation and energy infrastructure projects in highly competitive markets including Federal and MUSH. Identify potential customer opportunities, develop relationships with customers, and participate in project scope development, financial evaluations, and technical specifications, customer facility walkthroughs, and negotiate final customer contracts at acceptable margin levels. Successfully sell and act as customer liaison during energy conservation construction on budget and on schedule while leaving customer very satisfied with results and Georgia Power.
4-year degree – Engineering and/or Business degree preferred
Ideal candidate will have strong sales experience (minimum of 10 years) in the energy conservation field, related mechanical equipment, and general building mechanical systems including HVAC or central chiller and boiler plant(s). Ideal candidate will also have successful sales experience in the Federal market, using the Utility Energy Service Contract (UESC) and / or Energy Service Performance Contracting (ESPC) contract vehicles.
Strong knowledge of the Federal Energy Mandates and which GPC solutions are good options for helping our customers to meet them.
Successfully partner with internal resources on each opportunity to follow GPC internal policies and procedures.
Specifically developing and selling “paid from of savings” energy projects.
Demonstrated sales skills in areas of serving the customer, building positive customer relationships as demonstrated with repeat sales, high customer satisfaction with Federal, institutional, municipal, educational type customer base.
Demonstrated skills in drafting, writing, assembling, and responding to RFQs and RFPs for energy conservation projects. Skills include verbal presentations at various levels of customer management. Demonstrated proficiency in sales after selection at a site, delivering maximum value to the customer. Ability to interface at all levels of a complex client, briefing the project and providing information to different groups to obtain their approval.
Demonstrate record of successful sales in highly competitive markets to complex buyers with many influencers Ability to identify and successfully work with economic buyers at a client.
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of energy conservation projects (includes ability to understand technology, ECM opportunities, financial evaluation, customer financials, key contract terms, payment terms, performance period, life cycle analysis, etc.)
Ability to partner with internal and external engineers, customer representatives, and other vendors in order to collaborate with customer to identify new opportunities during a potentially very long (3 years) sales cycle.
Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, and ability to multi-task.
Good written and verbal communication skills including interface with internal and external customers, contractors and multiple levels of management.
Demonstrated ability to identify customer issues, identify solutions, and negotiate positive outcomes in a highly professional manner between all on energy related projects.
Ability to travel, primarily to large customer sites across the state of Georgia.

Development and sale of performance contracts (energy efficiency/energy conservation) primarily to Federal, Municipal, Schools (k-12), Universities onn behalf of Georgia Power – referred to as MUSH market.
Identify and pursue energy efficiency project sales, develop and negotiate customer contracts.
Participate in the drafting, development, financing, and pricing of projects based on bids or external quotes.
Act as the primary interface between customer and vendor during implementation of energy projects.
Manage all aspects of energy projects developments and customer contract negotiations.
Comply with all GPC and ES processes and procedures (including participating in risk review process).
Insure high quality of work and customer satisfaction with customer – provide feedback to GPC and vendor.
