Southern Company Electrical Lighting Technician in Charlotte, North Carolina
PowerSecure is seeking an Electrical Lighting Technician to join our Energy Efficiency Services division. Initial project is locally based in Fayetteville, NC. After completion of project, additional work may be available if you are willing to travel extensively across the USA.

The Lighting Technician will install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures as part of an energy savings project for our commercial customers. Training will be provided for new control systems and other new LED technologies.
High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required
Minimum of 6 months of electrical experience or equivalent training
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
Must be able to work from a ladder up to 12’ high
Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours
Basic understanding of electrical/lighting systems
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations manuals, and written directions
Must pass a drug test and background check
Must have a valid government issued ID to present at project facilities (expired IDs are not acceptable)
Electrical lighting industry experience preferred
OSHA 10 preferred
