PowerSecure is seeking an Inventory Control Technician 2 who demonstrates working safely, produces quality work, performs at high levels of productivity, and exemplifies professionalism in all facets of the Inventory Control department. This position is located at our Durham, NC facility and reports to the Inventory Control Supervisor.
Essential Functions Include:
Receiving deliveries from suppliers into inventory
Picking and staging orders for internal manufacturing needs
Ability to accurately count and track inventory based on general warehousing and logistics theory
You will play a key role in helping our company attain its goals, and ensure our products end up in the hands of our customers. Most importantly, we are looking for a person who is customer-focused and exhibits a relentless drive to deliver exemplary customer service both internally and externally. In addition, you will be a “champion” for safety and promoting a safe workplace culture.
You’ll need to be a strong communicator in both written and oral communications to your team and management. We want team members who can motivate others and set an example for others to follow. You need to have a passion for keeping track of the details, noticing any discrepancies, and being organized with your reporting and your time management. Being a proactive problem-solver who brings solutions to the table is a valuable asset.
Requirements
High School Diploma (Education subject to verification)
3 years of work experience in a manufacturing and / or inventory control environment
1 year of experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning Tool
Certification on Powered Industrial Trucks / pallet jacks
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations manual, and written directions
Ability to write reports
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Basic understanding of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software
Ability to stand / walk 6-8 hours a day
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
