Assistant Meter Tester - Eufaula, Alabama

Summary of position duties:

Provide installation, testing and maintenance of watt-hour meters according to Alabama Power Company requirements.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Experience working with electronic equipment (volt meter, amp, meter, multi meter), reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and schematics is preferred

• Computer experience using Windows Applications is preferred

• Experience working with live secondary voltage is preferred

• Experience testing and calibrating watt-hour meters or other test equipment is preferred

Knowledge of and the ability to apply yourself in the following areas:

• Electrical Theory

• Electronic Theory and Circuitry

• Precision Measurement and Calculation

• Meter and Transformer Instrumentation

• Meter Installation and Removal, Testing and Maintenance

• Meter Reading

• Hand Tools and Power Tools
