Description
As a Generator Field Service Technician , you play a critical role in the service, repair, and maintenance of all makes/models of commercial and industrial generators for our customers. This is the ideal position for someone looking for independence from a shop environment—while traveling from customer site to customer site—and recognizes the importance of being dependable, reliable and customer focused. You are the technical expert and the primary customer support contact.

Responsibilities:
Repair, Perform Preventative Maintenance and Service all Makes and Models of Generator Sets
Inspect, Repair, Service and Start-Up Load Bank Test Requirements on Equipment
Troubleshoot Equipment and Generator Components including Alternators, Wiring Harnesses, Safety Devices, and Battery Systems
Apply proper Engine Technical Skills in Inspection, Failure Analysis, Assembly, Diagnosis, and Operating Performance Tests
Repair and Troubleshoot Engines such as Cummins, Detroit Diesel, John Deere, MTU and Volvo
Troubleshoot switchgear and automatic transfer switches
Provide 24x7 on call service as required
Travel overnight up to 50% of the time
Deliver exceptional customer service
Cross train in other areas as needed
Requirements
2-4 years commercial/industrial experience working on generators and ATS
Must be able to pass DOT physical, pre-employment skills, background, drug screen and driving assessments
Own your own hand tools
Strong written and verbal English skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, Outlook email/calendars
OEM Training & Certification and/or EGSA Certification- preferred
