Project Superintendent - Power Generation

PowerSecure Service is seeking an experienced, dedicated Power Generation Project Superintendent living in the Central Florida area . Must have supervisory experience, generator and construction knowledge , and bewilling to travel during the week up to 50% of the time.


  • Plan and coordinate installation of new or replacement generators and transfer switches.

  • Order and coordinate deliveries of material and equipment.

  • Schedule and supervise installation teams, to include fuel services, cranes, fork lifts etc.

  • Assist with permit and inspection processes.

  • Properly rig and strap equipment for transport or placement.


  • 10+ years' construction experience in commercial electrical installations, including five years of supervisory and scheduling experience.

  • Hands-on working knowledge of generators, transfer switches, controls and UPS systems.

  • In-depth construction knowledge.

  • Electrical Journeyman license or Master Electrician certification required.

  • 50% overnight travel Monday through Friday to FL, GA, NC, SC, and other states as required.

  • Able to work a minimum of 7:00 am to 6:00 pm M-F

  • OSHA 30 and Forklift Operator certifications preferred.

Physical Demands:

Tasks require the regular and, at times, sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work. Physical Activity: 85% physical activity required on customer site working with equipment, 15% form completion, email, other administrative tasks and completing technical support activities by way of telephone and computer communication.

  • May involve the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-75 pounds).

  • Frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands, to grasp, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms.

  • Combination of climbing and balancing to include climbing ladders, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.

  • Must have the physical ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to Protective Glasses, Protective Gloves, and Protective Footwear as required.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to read computer screens, paper documents, equipment.

  • Ability to perceive and discriminate sounds, depth, texture, and visual cues or signals.

  • Up to 10 consecutive hours driving heavy duty truck.

  • May be required to work long and unpredictable hours.

  • Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally and hear others speaking.
