Key Responsibilities
Service and repair all makes/models of generator sets
Troubleshoot and repair engines (Volvo, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, John Deere, MTU)
Program and troubleshoot switchgear
Perform inspections, load bank testing, and start-up services
Deliver exceptional customer service
Complete job documentation thoroughly and on time
Participate in on-call rotation as needed
Qualifications
4+ years of commercial/industrial experience with generators, engines, switchgear, and controllers
Experience with Volvo engines is a plus
Willingness to travel overnight (up to 20%)
Ability to pass DOT physical, background check, and drug screen
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
OEM or EGSA certification preferred
Physical Requirements
85% field work, 15% administrative/technical support
Lift/carry/push/pull 20–75 lbs
Frequent standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, and crawling
Ability to wear PPE (glasses, gloves, footwear)
Visual and auditory acuity required
May drive heavy-duty truck for up to 10 hours
Must be able to work long and unpredictable hours
