Job Summary: Lighting Field Developer’s primary job function is to assist in performing detailed lighting and controls Audit. The Level 2 Field Developer’s role is to accurately record all existing lighting systems and controls at assigned facilities or areas and provide enhanced input for the written summary. The Lighting Field Developer Level 2 employee should be able to perform these tasks without direct supervision.

Minimum Qualifications: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills):

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability and willingness to travel 70% of the time.

  • 2 years’ experience is Investment Grade Lighting Audits.

  • Ability to read and understand construction documents and blueprints.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.), EDMS, and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Must be at least 25 years of age and possess a valid Driver's license.

  • General understanding of electrical construction.

  • Reasoning and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to continue to educating self in industry trends and products.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform lighting audits.

  • Ensure that all data collected for existing lighting systems and controls at the assigned facilities is accurate and complete.

  • Communicate audit data to co-auditors, Project Developers, and Supervisors.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Walk and stand for a minimum of 7 hours a day.

  • Climb stairs and ladders.

  • Carry an 8’ ladder throughout buildings to access ceilings and inspect lighting fixtures.

  • Walk perimeter of buildings, campuses, and parking structures while carrying approximately 50 pounds.

  • Drive extended periods of time.

  • Work in schools, office buildings, military bases, public housing, manufacturing facilities, convention/sports arenas, Municipal facilities.
