Senior Fleet Parts Specialist
Fleet Parts Specialist, Sr.
This position is responsible for applying sound inventory management tools and techniques in support of Fleet’s $5M parts and materials program. Responsibilities of the position include: purchasing, receiving and paying for statewide parts; reconciliation of parts invoices; inventory management; management of parts related data in Fleet’s asset management system; maximizing savings through recommendations regarding consignment and bulk purchasing; ensuring Sarbanes Oxley and environmental compliance; supporting vendor warranties; and supporting volume procurement. This position will report to the Fleet Materials Supervisor.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
Prior inventory management experience with a commercial fleet parts and materials program is a plus.
Experience utilizing analytical tools and techniques in support of a business unit: Excel experience preferred.
Database experience a plus.
Strong communication skills.
Demonstrated organizational skills.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
The position requires an in-depth knowledge of the purchasing requirements of a large organization, including compliance requirements, and inventory management practices and procedures.
Broad understanding of the company's operations, policies, and procedures is a plus.
Familiarization with fleet environmental policies and procedures.

The office for this position is located at 3102 Kilowatt Dr, Savannah, Georgia 31405.
Some travel is required as part of normal duties statewide.
