Technical Support Specialist - Power Generation

We are seeking a Power Generation Technical Support Specialist based anywhere in the continental USA. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of Power Generation field experience and be able to travel overnight at least 50% of the time.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced and knowledgeable Generator Technician who is ready to move out of the field.
The Technical Support Specialist provides daily on-demand support of inbound calls and emails, research to resolve these calls, and record keeping of completed research. The Technical Support Specialist also supports and trains PowerSecure Generator Service Technicians, partners and customers on power generation products and equipment serviced across the United States.
Provide thorough support to promote safely executed diagnosis, repair, and preventative maintenance inspections on all serviced equipment.
Daily research to resolve problems encountered by our Service Technicians.
Research and develop Technical Bulletins.
May be required to assist with developing and delivering training material.

A minimum of 5 years of Power Generation field experience.
Achieve and maintain EGSA Journeyman Certification.
Participate in continuing education to maintain and improve your knowledge base in the ever-changing technology of our field.
Knowledgeable of our industry standard OEM Maintenance recommendations, NFPA requirements, Rice NESHAP requirements, and any other AHJ’s requirements that maintain jurisdiction over sites we service and/or repair.
A minimum of 50% overnight travel, including two consecutive weeks, and occasionally three weeks during emergency response situations.
Proficient computer skills to include MS Outlook, MS Excel, and ability to learn and become proficient in company ERP System.
Excellent verbal and written English skills
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate Degree or some trade school preferred.
