Flow Accelerated Corrosion and Boric Acid Corrosion Control Program Engineer Needed!

JOB INFORMATION:

Vogtle 3&4 is seeking a Program Engineer responsible for Flow Accelerated Corrosion and Boric Acid Corrosion Control.

Program Engineers act as the site lead on development and implementation of the requirements applicable to their assigned programs, and aid in the troubleshooting or complex problem solving of issues within their expertise.

Prior to plant operation, responsibilities include ensuring regulatory, code required, and industry adopted inspections, testing and initiatives are implemented, gather preoperational data and information to ensure long term plant program initiatives are met, and perform Boric Acid corrosion assessments for detected leaks.

After Plant Operation, responsibilities include ensuring program required activities are scheduled according to site procedures for outages, assisting in program readiness and challenge meetings, and leveraging resources across the organization to continuously improve program performance.

Educational requirements:

• BS in Engineering from an ABET accredited program required

• Chemical or Mechanical Engineer preferred

Background/Experience Requirements:

• Minimum five (3) years of engineering related experience preferred

• Minimum three (2) years of nuclear plant experience preferred

• Experience with one or more assigned programs is preferred

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft office products, specifically WORD, EXCEL and POWERPOINT

Technical Requirements:

• Detailed knowledge of plant procedures and regulations in assigned area

• Detailed knowledge of plant systems and processes

• Working knowledge of computer software programs supporting assigned area

Other Requirements:

• Each department engineer will be assigned as backup for additional programs. It is expected that engineers will develop a working level of knowledge to support these areas

• Vogtle 3&4 Engineering maintains a duty support rotation and qualified Emergency Response Organization (ERO) staffing. Each department engineer is expected to participate in these rotations in addition to their normal assignments.
