Engineer/Engineering Analyst – Plant Hatch

Southern Nuclear Operating Company's Engineering organization is seeking a high performing individual with an analytical mindset.

Summary of Position Duties

This position will report to the Component Maintenance Optimization Manager and will be responsible for one or more functions within the organization including Plant Health Program Owner, Corrective Action Program Coordinator and Engineering Plan of the Day scheduler functions.

Duties may include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Provide overall coordination and management of the Plant Health process.

  2. Provide overall coordination of the engineering corrective action program establishing and maintaining high standards for corrective action program regulatory compliance for engineering.

  3. Provide input and development support for Engineering schedule activities for the online Plan of the Day schedule.

This position will analyze and develop recommendations based upon findings which will improve the equipment reliability at Plant Hatch.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field preferred

Job Experience and Other Attributes:

  • Minimum of 3 years overall nuclear power experience preferred.

  • Three years’ experience in at least Planning, Scheduling or Work Management preferred.

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Software.

  • Experience with Maximo and P6 preferred

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrate high level of work performance

Other Requirements:

  • The successful candidate must meet background screening and NRC Fitness for Duty requirements.

  • This position may require you to serve on the ERO and live within one hour of Plant Hatch’s Emergency Operations Facility.
