Senior Product Support Specialist (Data Center)

Job Summary:

Provide technical support on PowerSecure MicroGrid equipment for Critical Infrastructure Systems. This role is customer-focused, requiring high decision quality, systematic analysis, and strong problem-solving skills to ensure safe and effective resolution of technical issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of commercial/industrial experience with Generators, ATS/switchgear, and Paralleling Control systems.(Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering may substitute 4 years of experience.)

  • Proficient in reading Electrical/Mechanical Schematics and Engineer of Record Drawings.

  • Experience with:

  • PLCs, Generator Controllers, Protective Relays

  • Alternators and Generators

  • Medium Voltage NETA Maintenance and Testing

  • Data Center preventive maintenance and system testing

  • Commissioning and field experience required.

  • NFPA 70 ARC Flash Certification preferred.

  • Valid Driver’s License.

  • Strong understanding of AC/DC Electrical Theory and operational theory of Switchgear/PowerGen systems.

  • Skilled in troubleshooting and editing controller/PLC/HMI programming.

  • Experience in product testing and development (5+ years).

  • Strong communication, time management, and analytical skills.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop Statements of Work (SOW) and Methods of Procedures (MOP) for preventive maintenance.

  • Provide technical assistance to Customer Service Managers and engineering teams.

  • Support complex start-ups, field troubleshooting, and onsite technical support.

  • Manage onsite engineering changes and communicate open action items.

  • Assist in field retrofit projects, product troubleshooting guides, and training support.

  • Escalate critical issues to leadership to ensure quality and schedule adherence.

  • Support scheduling and prioritization with Product Support Manager.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Travel up to 45% required.

  • Exposure to industrial environments including switchgear, generators, and welding operations.

  • Work in both indoor office and outdoor field settings.

  • Manual dexterity for operating digital and electrical equipment.

  • Occasional after-hours and weekend support required.
