Location: Repair Shop at GPC General Services Headquarters, 62 Lake Mirror Rd Building #9, Forest Park, GA 30297
Job Summary
The Transmission Repair Shop Specialist will support the Power Transformer area in inventory management, project management and daily planning of maintenance activities using company software tools.
Job Requirements
Experience in Power Transformer maintenance
Superior communication skills. Must be able to communicate with personnel from various levels within the Company and various vendors or service providers
Must display personal initiative
Excellent organizational skills
Manage multiple projects and demands simultaneously
Functional knowledge about the various power equipment maintained by the Repair Shop
Knowledge of software used to support Repair Shop activities is preferred. This includes PETS (Repair Shop Power Equipment Tracking System); Maximo (in-house workorder management and accounting tool); STOMP (Transmission inventory management tool)
Job Responsibilities
This position will supports the Power Transformer area and will be required to complete a wide variety of duties. These include but are not limited to:
Receipt and shipment of equipment
Scheduling maintenance and repair of power equipment including transformers, regulators, breakers and direct storage of equipment
Provide support to department supervisors, advising about incoming work, out bound equipment shipments and maintenance procedures
Serve as a liaison between the Repair Shop and its customers (TMCs, ITS Partners, Substation Support and Supply Chain)
Actively participate in long term planning and day-to-day activities associated with the maintenance of power equipment
Participate in on-call duty
This job will be filled at level 5 or 6 depending on the skill and experience of the successful candidate.
