Schedule Analyst

This position is hybrid at times attending in-person meetings as needed Georgia Power (GPC) Corporate Headquarters - Atlanta, GA (Downtown)

This position will be filled as a Level 4-6 Exempt dependent upon the qualifications (skills, education and experience) of the successful candidate.

Summary of Position Duties

The Schedule Analyst leads the effort to allocate and schedule transmission and/or distribution events in support of GPC Capital Projects. This individual will be paired with a Project Manager and will be responsible for leading meetings and discussions related to scheduling and resource allocation.

He or she schedules design engineering and construction activities, resolves conflicts, and updates schedule progress. The analyst will also produce reports for key distribution and

Key Transmission Stakeholders.

  • Project Management, Engineering or Construction experience preferred

  • Power Delivery experience preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Understanding project management process

  • Experience working with a scheduling and project management tools

  • Experience in Primavera/P6 is preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) ( Database management a plus)

  • Experience with large project teams in implementing project controls programs is preferred.

  • Proven organizational skills

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate transmission and/or distribution activities as they relate to capital project schedule activities (i.e. Engineering, Procurement, Environmental, System Outages, Construction, etc.)

  • Update project progress and facilitate resolution of conflicts, resource issues, or schedule exceptions that may impact project completion dates

  • Prepare project status for key stakeholders, customers and strategic partners

  • Respond to transmission and/or distribution requests (Region, Planning, etc) for information, i.e. contacts, account information and policy process and procedures.
