Cyber Security group is seeking a high performing individual with strong technical skills to support operation of the latest generation nuclear power station. This position will be located at Southern Nuclear Company's Plant Vogtle in Waynesboro, Georgia, home of the newest operating nuclear reactors in the U.S and the largest generator of clean energy in the country.

Job Summary
This position provides technical leadership, oversight & monitoring, as well as execution of the site’s Cyber Security Plan under the direction of the Cyber Security Manager. This role is critical in protecting digital systems that support nuclear safety, security and reliability. You will be a member of a dedicated team, collaborating across disciplines, and interface with regulators, all while helping define the gold standard of cybersecurity in nuclear power. This includes execution of procedures, integrating into the cyber security incident response team, and supporting external organizations to fulfill their cyber security program responsibilities.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Execute tasks supporting the Vogtle 3&4 Cyber Security Program, contributing to a high-performing team environment.
Perform cyber security operational activities, including:
Conduct system assessments
Review design changes for cyber impact
Support work management processes
Participate in the Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT)
Documentation control and configuration management
Incorporate regulatory requirements (10 CFR 73.54, RG 5.71, NEI 08-09/13-10) into executable procedures, policies, work instructions
Assist with regulatory readiness activities and support NRC inspections, audits, and fleet-level assessments as needed.
Maintain cyber security program plans (access control, audit and accountability, etc.) for digital assets
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by incorporating lessons learned from industry events, self-assessments, and emerging threats
Coordinate with site departments (Physical Security, Engineering, IT, Maintenance, Operations, Licensing, etc.) to ensure cyber security responsibilities are integrated and aligned with plant operations
Job Requirements:
Educational:
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science,Information Technology, Engineering (ABET-accredited), or a related technical field
Industry certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, GIAC, Security +, GICSP) preferred
Bakground/Experience:
Experience with cyber programs in regulated industries (nuclear, energy defense, or aviation) strongly preferred
Commercial nuclear power plant experience in cyber security is desired
5 years experience in cyber security is desired
Previous design change experience is desired
Technical Assessment Methodology (TAM) assessment experience is desired
NEI 08-09 Cyber Security Plan for Nuclear Power Reactors & NEI 13-10 Assessment experience is desired
Skills & Competencies:
Strong grasp of industrial control system (ICS) cyber principles and regulatory frameworks
Effective communicator: excellent oral and written communications skills
Proven organizational skills with ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously
Capable of working efficiently and effectively across organizations
Experience with Networking Equipment, Distributed Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers
The ability to test, implement, and upgrade software applications from simple to complex.
