RADIATION PROTECTION SUPPORT SUPERINTENDENT - PLANT VOGTLE 1&2
The Radiation Protection Support Superintendent provides direction and leadership to a group of Health Physicists that are responsible for specific plant support in the areas of outage planning, training, work orders, etc.
Requirements
Six (6) years’ experience in radiation protection/health physics
Must meet minimum ANSI 3.1 standards
This position will be assigned to a position within the Emergency Response Organization (ERO). Assignment requires response to the station when an emergency is declared and is considered to be a condition of continued employment. The ability to arrive at the station to perform ERO responsibilities within 75 minutes of notification of an emergency is required.
Preferences
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Health Physics, Engineering or related technical degree - preferred
Three (3) years supervisory/management experience
Knowledge of EPRI, INPO and industry programs
Knowledge of plant procedures and regulations
Knowledge of plant systems and processes
Knowledge of computer software programs supporting assigned area
Focus on ALARA planning, Radwaste Shipping, Maintenance of Radiological Instrumentation and Respiratory equipment, and Radiation Protection Training
Experience in supervision of covered employees
